Student art on display through Dec. 8

Stanford students from across disciplines showcase their artistic talents in the 9th annual Undergraduate Juried Exhibition presented by the Department of Art and Art History, on display at the Stanford Art Gallery through Dec. 8.
This year’s show is titled Panoramic Enlightenment, after an oil painting by student Shreya Komar. The show is a multimedia art experience addressing such diverse themes as immigration, the environment, identity, anxiety, and hope.
“It has been always a breath of fresh air to see all the different media used for artistic expression by our undergrads from across departments,” said Enrique Chagoya, professor of art practice, who curated this year’s exhibition. “Every artwork received careful attention in the exhibition layout, and every year it is a beautiful surprise for everyone involved and I hope for the viewers too. It takes a village to organize and put together this annual exhibition. I am honored to be a humble facilitator.”
Associate Director and Curator Gabriel Harrison and Art Preparator Daniel Brickman oversaw the installation.
