Manicule is an annual, student-run publication that showcases new undergraduate writing in the fields of art history and film studies

Each edition features scholarly and creative pieces, submitted by Stanford students, that aim: to provoke new ways of thinking about the place of art in the world; to enrich the arts community at Stanford University; to provide a inclusive outlet for undergraduates to share their ideas with a larger community; to give voice to a diverse range of ways, perspectives, and approaches of illuminating works of art.

The undergraduate contributors aim to write with style, with passion, with conviction, and with a desire to illuminate. They want to arm readers with radical ways of looking at and engaging with the world. And they will write and publish with these goals in mind.
