Neil primarily works in painting and sculpture. For this first year exhibition, he focused on his practice of making sculptural objects in miniature. A thread running throughout this exhibition's work is a relationship to the ground - grounds that are covered, excavated, or in flux. How are we connected to the ground below us? In what ways does it begin to slip out from under us, and how can we reorient ourselves towards it?
