Born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, Tyler Trumbo received his B.A. in American Studies from the College of William and Mary. As an undergraduate, Tyler produced and directed several projects including AIDSTanzania, a documentary film following a student organization's efforts to increase education and testing of HIV in Tanzania through collaboration with a community center founded by former Black Panthers. Over the past several years he has worked as a producer and editor for Two Rivers Multimedia Solutions, traveling the mountains of southwestern Virginia creating short films that showcase the passions and talents of artisans, musicians, and community members that call the mountains their home.
