About

Tijana has worked as a documentary cinematographer and editor in New York City since 2007. She has a BA in Photography from Ramapo College and is a graduate of the Documentary Studies certificate program at The New School University in New York. At Seedworks Films, she worked on producing educational and advocacy videos that were effective in changing lagislation regarding nursing practice. Her first short film A Flower for Lisa, about a group of mentally ill people who do art as therapy, premiered at the Durango Int'l Film Festival in 2007 and had a broadcast on the Documentary channel. 
 
Tijana was selected to be a participant of the NY Foundation for the Arts Immigrant Artist Project 2010. Recently, she won an award for the Best Pitch at the Sarajevo Film Festival and partial financing for the post-production of her on-going project in Eastern Europe. She is currently working on developing two documentary films, one on Block Island, RI, and one in Bosnia and Hercegovina. Tijana is originally from Belgrade, Serbia but has lived abroad since she was eighteen.
