Graylin Harrison

Graylin studies early modern Europe with an emphasis on Italy, the Mediterranean, and the Spanish Empire. Her dissertation examines funerary art and death culture in Naples, but other research interests include Neapolitan culture more broadly, the history of medicine, historical trauma, and urban studies. Graylin is the 2020 Samuel H. Kress Foundation Institutional Fellow at the Bibliotheca Hertziana, Max Planck Institute for Art History in Rome.
