Emily Chun studies modern and contemporary art with special attention to American art of the 1980s and ’90s, and how it relates to the era’s larger cultural and socioeconomic changes. Her work has been supported by the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation Fellowship in Art History. Her criticism has appeared in Art in America, Brooklyn Rail, ArtReview, among others. She received her BA in art history from Wellesley College and MA in art history from Tufts University.
