Emily Chun studies modern and contemporary art with special attention to American art of the 1980s and ’90s, and how it relates to the era’s larger cultural and socioeconomic changes. Her work has been supported by the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation Fellowship in Art History. Her art criticism has appeared in the Art in America, Brooklyn Rail, ArtReview, among others.
