About

Annie is a documentary filmmaker from New York. Before coming to Stanford, she was a freelance producer based in Brooklyn and collaborated on projects for Netflix, Amazon, Tribeca Productions, and Great Big Story. 

She graduated as a double major in Philosophy and Film/Media Studies from Dartmouth College in 2013. After graduation, she was awarded the school's Richard D. Lombard Fellowship, to support her work with the social enterprise VOICE 4 Girls in Hyderabad, India. There, she used documentary media to explore issues surrounding gender inequality and girls' education in India. From her time in India, Annie has also produced shorts about the country's troubled history with population control and coerced female sterilization. Her short documentary "Small Family, Happy Family" will be released early 2019.
