Gleaming Things is a body of five paintings by artist L. Song Wu exploring Asiatic femininity, desire, and reconciliation. Painting larger-than-life anime figures and modified self-portraits, Wu creates imagined spaces from American road trips to decadent mukbangs that portray the relationship between objecthood and personhood.

L. Song Wu is an artist based in Stanford, CA. Her current work explores various constructions of the Asian female figure and the relationship between desire and violence. Wu's artwork has been exhibited in San Francisco, New York, and Berlin.
