Stanford Department of Art & Art History presents an artist talk with Rindon Johnson, Visiting Professor and Advisor, New Genres at University of California Los Angeles, titled "Recent Work" on Thursday, January 11 at 5:30pm.
Rindon Johnson is an artist and poet. In 2023, Johnson will present his largest exhibition to date at the Rockbund Museum of Art in Shanghai. In 2022, Johnson was awarded the 12th Ernst Rietschel Award for Sculpture by the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden. Johnson is a fellow at Black Cube. Johnson has presented solo exhibitions at Albertinum (Dresden), Chisenhale Gallery (London), The Julia Stoschek Collection (Düsseldorf), and the SculptureCenter (Long Island City), among others. He is the author of four books of poetry and prose. He was born on the unceded territories of the Ohlone people and lives in Berlin.
VISITOR INFORMATION: Oshman Hall is located in the McMurtry Building on Stanford campus at 355 Roth Way. Visitor parking is free all day on weekends and after 4 pm on weekdays, except by the Oval. Alternatively, take the Caltrain to Palo Alto Transit Center and hop on the free Stanford Marguerite Shuttle.
