Join the Department of Art & Art History during Stanford Reunion Homecoming weekend for an afternoon of conversation, scholarship, and creative exchange. Reconnect with fellow alums while meeting current faculty, students, and staff through a series of programs celebrating the department's vibrant community.

Program Agenda

12:00–1:00 PM | Art History Lightning Talks

Location: Bowes Art & Architecture Library (2nd Floor)

Art History alums will give brief presentations (10–15 minutes) about recent projects, research, or career paths since graduating. Each presentation will be followed by a brief Q&A. Light refreshments will be available for attendees in the library lobby before and following the event.

1:00–2:00 PM | Documentary Film & Video / Film & Media Studies Program

Location: McMurtry 115 (Ground Level)

Join faculty, students, and alums from the Documentary Film & Video and Film & Media Studies programs for a special joint event.

2:00–3:30 PM | Art & Art History Reunion Open House Reception

Location: McMurtry Atrium (Ground Level)

Reconnect with fellow alums, faculty, students, and staff during the department's annual reunion reception. Enjoy light refreshments, remarks from Department Chair Pavle Levi, a collaborative art-making activity, and exhibitions throughout the building, including a special alumni exhibition featuring work by Michael Arcega (MFA '09), Associate Professor of Art at San Francisco State University.

3:30–4:00 PM | McMurtry Building Tours

Location: McMurtry Atrium (Ground Level)

Explore the department's art practice studios, documentary film facilities, classrooms, galleries, and more. 

Space is limited. Priority will be given to those who RSVP early.

Visitor Information

The McMurtry Building is located at 355 Roth Way, Stanford, CA 94305.

Visitor parking is available in designated campus lots and is managed through ParkMobile. Parking is free after 4:00 PM (except near the Oval). Visitors may also take Caltrain to the Palo Alto Transit Center and ride the free Stanford Marguerite Shuttle to campus.
