Photography

Located in the basement of the Thomas Welton Art Gallery Building, the Photography Program offers traditional black & white and digital darkroom facilities.

  • Introduction

The Photography Program at Stanford offers a sequence of classes for those undergrads who wish to become seriously involved with the art and practice of photography.  Beginning with a strong foundation in the history of the medium, our basic classes are centered around the traditional black and white darkroom.  Students have the opportunity to explore in depth large format photography, alternative and non-silver processes, the art of the photographic book and digital photography.
